Before Darren qualified as a solicitor, he had a career as a molecular geneticist, during which he obtained a PhD. He worked in medical research in both London and Philadelphia.

As a result of Darren’s background in molecular genetics, he has a particular interest in more complex claims for clinical negligence. This includes those children who have suffered devastating injuries, including Cerebral Palsy, during and at about the time of their birth. He has succeeded in obtaining compensation in cases involving inherited conditions and genetics.

Darren says “I am delighted to accept the role of head of department. The team has considerable experience and I hope that I can harness it to continue to provide our community, and beyond, with the benefit of our collective knowledge and that experience”.
