Due to continued growth we require a NQ to 1 year PQE Employment Solicitor to join our Civil Department. The PQE above is a guideline only and does not preclude applications from those with more or less PQE.
You will handle a broad range of claimant and litigation work, dealing with matters including grievances, Employment Tribunal claims, unfair dismissal and discrimination, maternity and pregnancy discrimination, sexual harassment and compromise agreements. Litigation experience preferred.
Candidates should have excellent knowledge and practical experience of UK employment law and be up-to-date with recent developments.
This position is based in our Barking office but the successful candidate may be expected to work from any of our other offices as and when required.
This is a full time position, Monday to Friday 9.00am to 5.30pm, 24 days a year annual leave.

Conveyancing Legal Assistant/Paralegal
We require an experienced Legal Assistant/Paralegal who has previously worked in a conveyancing department to assist the fee earners in our busy property team. The role will be based in our Barking office.
Duties will include but are not limited to:
• Typing and administration support
• Liaising with clients and taking instructions both in person and over the telephone
• Advising clients on basic conveyancing enquiries
• Sending out quotations
• Liaising with estate agents, solicitors and mortgage lenders
• Conducting all residential searches
• Dealing with incoming correspondence and drafting letters
• Liaising with mortgage lenders for transfer of funds and redemption of mortgages
• Responsible for exchange of contracts and completions
• Completing Online Stamp Duty and Land Registry Transactions
• Completing Oyez Conveyance forms including drafting contracts
• Using bespoke case management system.
You will need to have previous experience of working in a busy conveyancing department and have used a case management system.
