Ged now specialises in all aspects of Magistrates Court advocacy.  He has developed a particular specialist advocacy practice in the field of Dangerous Dogs Act defence cases together with driving, motoring and Road Traffic Act offences.

He  represents clients on a Legal Aid and private instruction basis on a daily basis at the Police Station and the Magistrates Court.

Set out below are a number of examples of recent cases that Ged has been instructed in:

R –v- X  –     Crown Court. Ged’s client was a Senior Manager for a large   investment bank.  He faced an allegation of dangerous driving at the Crown Court.  The Judge was successfully persuaded to suspend a prison sentence imposed which allowed the client to keep his liberty and his employment.

R –v- K –      Court of Appeal.  In this matter Ged acted for a client whose sentence was reduced from 21 months imprisonment to 15 months custody allowing        for the client’s immediate release by the Court of Appeal.
