Admitted as a solicitor in December 1981. Joined the firm in April 1985 becoming a Partner in 1987. Head of the Civil Litigation Department undertaking general commercial litigation, property and boundary disputes, contentious probate matters including claims under the Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependants) Act, professional negligence claims against other solicitors, barristers, surveyors, accountants and others acting in their professional capacity and civil actions against the police.
