Martin joined Sternberg Reed as a trainee solicitor in June 2007 and spent a year working in the Civil Litigation Department before joining the department on qualification in 2009.

Martin specialises in housing law, predominately dealing with defending possession proceedings and homelessness cases. He acts for vulnerable clients, victims of domestic violence, and those with mental health problems. He also has experience of representing clients in claims for harassment and illegal eviction and has acted for prisoners and clients who have recently been released from prison.
