Are Social Services involved with your children?
We help parents and other family members (step-parents, grandparents, uncles, aunts and others) in a whole variety of child care cases. These include attending case conferences, representing you in Court cases, negotiating with Social Workers etc. We have broad experience gained from representing many different people in cases of this nature, including children and young people themselves, parents and Public Authorities. Representing children and young people
As a young person under 18, there may be a court case about you, for example, whether you are taken into Social Services care or whether you have to see a particular member of your family. We can give you legal advice and representation about these matters.

Is it possible to adopt a child from abroad?
Adoption is allowed in some situations. However there are more legal complications. Again our specialist child care and adoption team can advise you.
How much will it cost?
For some types of children's cases, you are entitled automatically to free help and representation under the Legal Aid scheme. For other types of child care cases you will will be eligible for Legal Aid if you have a reasonable case and your income and savings are below certain limits set by the government. If not, we can still act for you, but would have to charge you for the work we do. At your initial meeting we will advise you whether you are eligible for Legal Aid and if not, what you will have to pay.
